Attorney Insults War Vet Using Cannabis For PTSD, "I Have No Respect For You...You Are The Enemy"

If you thought the Republican and Democratic debates were ugly, things got downright personal for one of our nation's war vets during a heated debate about cannabis.

A video showing the debate between Vietnam vet, Dom Ream, his Attorney Marc Victor and Maricopa County, Arizona Attorney Bill Montgomery took an ugly turn after nearly 2 hours of debating.

The topic of of cannabis prohibition came up and the debaters took questions from the audience. That's when Ream stood up to diplomatically explain how cannabis had helped him for four years, replacing many of his pharmaceuticals. Ream politely invited Montgomery to come learn about the benefits of cannabis and see how safe it actually is.

As Ream finished his statement and began to sit down, Montgomery couldn't resist taking a cheap shot, "There is a difference between medical application of marijuana and recreational use of the substance," he said.

Ream admitted he uses cannabis for medical reasons as wells as recreational reasons.

Montgomery replied, "Well, then you're violating the law, and I have no respect for you. I have no respect for someone who would try to claim that you served this country and took an oath to uphold the Constitution and protect against all enemies foreign and domestic – because you're an enemy."

Montgomery's reputation as a cannabis prohibitionist was not lost on attendees of the Southwest Cannabis Conference and Expo in October. He issued a "polite" warning to attendees letting them know he would be watching.
